Your leader in nationwide Geotextile Tube Sales, Testing, Installation, and Design Services
Geotextile tubes (also known as geobags, Geotubes, geotextiles, siltbags) are large, high strength tubes made from a woven geotextile fabric that are designed to contain organic solids or sediment and allow water to escape. The solids are separated from the water using WaterSolve’s custom blended water treatment chemicals. WaterSolve performs feasability testing conducted in our water/solids separation lab to determine outcomes such as time to dryness, chemical dosing, and costs associated with a Geotextile Tube dewatering project. The tubes filter the solids out of the water utilizing the specially engineered fabric of the geotextile tube. The water effectively can flow back into the water body being pumped or dredged or can be directed to other discharge locations based on project goals. These geotextile tubes can be made in custom sizes to fit your project area. Our complete turnkey dewatering solutions are capable of handling projects of all sizes across the country, while providing you the best knowledge and service from design to completion.
Geotextile Tube Containers for Dewatering & Containment
How does the Geotextile Tube dewatering process work?
FILLING
High strength permeable geotextiles with uniquely designed retention properties are fabricated into Geotextile tube containers that can be filled with fine grain sludge, solids, or dredged waste materials.
DEWATERING
Excess water drains from the geotextile tubes through the small pores in the fabric resulting in effective dewatering and efficient volume reduction of the solids. This volume reduction allows for the repeated filling of the geotextile container. The separated water can be returned to the waterway or sent to a discharge location.
CONSOLIDATION
After the final cycle of filling and dewatering into the geotextile tube, the retained solids remain trapped and continue to dry out for future disposal.
