Geotube

Geotube is a made of plastic and used to perform tasks even which are not completed by various casting processes. It is used to give different types of shapes to different materials. It’s a round shaped tube with long length. Their installation and removal is very easy. It can be reused for at least 100 castings and more depends upon fabric used to make it.

Concrete does not stick to the fabric of geotube and it can be easily washed by little application of water without using other lubricants. Geotube is a modular element 60 cm long and it does not require cutting only when elements necessary for the casting are used. It is rigid and stored at any place in any conditions. It is easy to handle and operate.

They are also used to protect property from storm surge and erosion. These geotubes are made of geotextile fabric and have an oval shaped cross section. They are filled with sand and placed parallel to the shoreline. It is also used as beach nourishment. Geotube has its own advantages in handling, installation and removal which make wide usage of them.
